Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Take a Panorama Photo in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

Panorama mode is one of shooting modes available in the Camera app in Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge that can be used if you need a wider scene when taking a photo without changing the distance between you and the object, e.g., taking photo of a wide scenery photo for a web header, a large group photo, a big/tall/high/long object, etc. When this shooting mode is enabled, the camera will take a series of photos horizontally or vertically and then stitch them together to provide you a single wide scene photo.

How to take a panorama photo?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. On the Home screen, tap Apps at the bottom right corner of the screen to go to the apps menu and then tap the Camera app to open it. If the quick launch camera feature is enabled, you can quickly launch the Camera app from any screen by pressing the Home key twice in quick succession.
  2. Tap Mode to view all available shooting modes.
  3. Tap Panorama to enable this shooting mode.
  4. Aim the camera to the object.
  5. Tap to start taking a panorama photo and then move your phone slowly in one direction(left/right/top/down). To get the best result, make sure to keep the image within the provided frame as you move your phone. If any, you can use additional tool, such as tripod.
  6. Keep moving the camera until the image reaches the end of the provided frame and the panorama photo will be saved automatically. Or, you can also manually stop the camera from taking the photo whenever you want by tapping
  7. Tap the preview thumbnail to preview the panorama photo in the Gallery app.
  8. Tap to view the panorama photo in full screen view in the Gallery app.
