Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Search Selected Text on the Web Page

Nowadays, search engine is the main component which is widely use when the people use Internet to search something. By using the search engine, people can find whatever they looking for in the Internet with ease by typing the desired search term in the search engine. Due to its importance, most of browser apps available today provide a feature to automatically search whatever the user typed in the address bar without http or www through the default search engine.

In addition to automatically search the search term typed in the address bar, you can also search the highlighted text on the web. This of course will useful if you find some text in the web and you want to use them as the search term on the default search engine.


How to search highlighted text on the web page?
If you wants to search the selected text in the Browser apps on Samsung Galaxy SIII, then kindly follow the steps listed below:
  1. Open the stock Browser apps.
  2. Navigate to the required web page.
  3. Tap and hold the text until the text select is shown. You can adjust the text selected area by tapping and drag one of the anchor points at the selected text. The text selected will be highlighted.
  4. To search the highlighted text, tap the Menu key located at the top right corner of the screen or next to share icon, then tap Web search.
  5. Now, the result will be displayed in the default search engine. If you set the default to Google search, then the search results will appear in a Google Search page.

This methods of course will also be able to save your time because you can search whatever the highlighted text in the web directly from there, and you don't need to open the search engine page to search for the certain text that you find in the web.
